Anthropic made its suite of Claude models available in Microsoft Foundry on Azure, expanding enterprise access to its models for building autonomous AI agents.
The vendors said Azure-native businesses will now have greater access to building domain-specific AI agents — increasingly important as companies demand more autonomous, intelligent technologies.
The rollout also marks the first time Anthropic has used Nvidia hardware, with the models running on the AI chip giant’s GB300 Blackwell Ultra systems, designed to support AI’s move from chatbots to more advanced agents.
In a blog post on June 29, Nvidia said the project demonstrates how Claude can scale for enterprise and agentic AI workloads.
To support enterprise deployments, customers can run Claude agents using Nvidia’s Secure Agent Workspace Reference Design, which provides a blueprint for deploying AI agents in governed environments with controls over identity, network access, credentials and runtime policies.
Anthropic currently has 11 Claude models listed in Microsoft Foundry, including Opus 4.8 and Sonnet 4.6.
The move builds on the strategic partnership formed by Microsoft, Nvidia and Anthropic last year to expand enterprise access to Claude and accelerate AI workloads on Nvidia infrastructure.
As part of that agreement, Anthropic committed to purchasing about $30 billion in Azure compute capacity, with the option to contract for more capacity of up to 1 gigawatt.
Microsoft also said it will invest up to $5 billion in Anthropic, and Nvidia said it will invest up to $10 billion in the generative AI vendor.
