The political necessity for doing something doesn’t make it more doable, sometimes it makes it impossible. Iran isn’t going to make an actual deal. And while deals are impossible with terrorists anyway, Iran’s Islamic regime is going to drag this out as long as possible to help the Dems. That’s not breaking new ground. The regime did this early on during the hostage crisis to hurt the Carter administration towards which, despite Carter’s sympathy for Islamic terrorists, it harbored a special resentment.

The H-1B controversy is not really about visas alone; it is about whether an employment pipeline designed to fill specialized shortages has also become a durable channel for wage suppression, shell-company abuse, and coercive labor practices. The Labor Department’s inspector general has now turned that suspicion into a formal, multi-agency probe, and the government is saying out loud what many enforcement records have long implied: the same pressure points that make the program useful also make it vulnerable to organized fraud.
