The UK financial regulator has backed away from plans to force listed companies to report some climate risks, in the latest sign of how the global push to improve transparency on environmental issues has been losing momentum.
The Bank of England has warned the financial system is at risk of a “sharper correction” than happened over the summer because of the growing reliance on debt to fund the boom in AI infrastructure.
