The New DNA Science Tells Us that the USA has been a Majority Multi Racial America for Decades if not Centuries !
26 Million have now taken a DNA test. [i] and the results tell us something completely different that the pundits claim. As per a scientific analysis, the USA has been vastly multi-racial from its founding with thousands of ethnicities and dozens of historically oppressed minorities in the USA.
In the USA, there are 328 Million People. Below is a list of the largest ethnic minority groups. For the purposes of discussion, if you simple add the numbers of: Irish, Latin American & Hispanic, Italian, Asian, Native Americans, Asians, India Immigrants, Russians, Arabs, West Indies/Cubans, and other minority or oppressed ethnic groups, you get well over 175 million people if you review the simple math below. Thus, it seems that the USA has been comprised of a majority of ethnic minorities for decades or from inception depending on how you analyze the science and DNA.
To begin with, science has discovered that a significant percentage of African-Americans, European Americans, and Latinos carry DNA ancestry from outside their self-identified ethnic background. [ii] As an example, Sicilians have integrated into the USA population intermarrying folks from every race and creed where Sicilians are historically ( part Hispanic, part African, and partly Arabic) as Sicily was occupied over the last 3,000 years by African nations, Spain, Greece, Arabs, Vikings, and Europeans. Many immigrants suffered oppression after arriving in the USA, and it wasn’t until June of 1874 when Sicilian slavery was finally abolished in the USA when the Congress passed the Padrone Act. [iii]
Similar to Sicilians, the average African-American genome based on science, for example, is 73.2% African, 24% European, and 0.8% Native American. Roughly 20% of African-Americans have at least 1 European grandparent. [iv] In South Carolina and Louisiana, about 12% of European Americans have at least 1% African ancestry. Even today, about 25% of “so called” “Non-Eurasian” men marry somebody of a different race: [v] About 3.5% of European Americans in the USA carry significant African ancestry which is about another: 11,500,000 Americans who are “so called white” who are also scientifically African also.
After a cursory analysis, there are 188 million or more minority citizens in the USA if you just add up the Irish, Italian, African Mexican, Native American, Puerto Rican, Chinese, Russians, India-Asians, West Indies/Caribbean, Philippines, Welsh, Cuban, Salvadoran, Arabian, Vietnamese, Czech, Hungarian, Portuguese, Korean, Danish, Dominican, Polish, Scots/Scots-Irish, and Greek. This number excludes millions of other minority groups. Here is a short list of ethnic groups in the USA. [vi]
- 50 million Ethnic Germans (Not Added)
- 41 Million with African DNA
- 35 Million Ethnic Irish
- 32 Million Mexican Hispanic which most are multi racial and have indigenous DNA also.
- 30-50 Million with English DNA ( Not Added)
- 17.5 Million Italian
- 9.7 Million who claim Polish DNA
- 9.1 Million Who Claim French DNA (Not Added)
- 5.7 Million Scottish which is a Scandinavian Region
- 5.1 Million mixed ethnicity Scotch-Irish
- 4.9 Million Native American with Millions of Europeans having small amounts of Native DNA in places like Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and other regions.
- 4.8 Million Ethnic Dutch-Netherlands (Not Added)
- 4.6 Million Puerto Rican
- 4.5 Million Norwegians
- 4.2 Million Swedish
- 3.2 Million Chinese
- 3 Million Ethnic Russians
- 2.7 Million from India Region
- 2.6 Million from the West Indies – Carribean
- 2.5 Million from the Philippines
- 2 Million French Canadians
- 1.8 Million Welsh
- 1.7 Million Cuban
- 1.7 Million Salvadoran
- 1.6 Million Arabs
- 1.6 Million Vietnamese
- 1.6 Million Czech
- 1.5 Million Hungarian
- 1.5 Million Portuguese
- 1.4 Million Korean
- 1.4 Million Danish
- 1.4 Million Dominican
- 1.3 Million Greek
Over the last 10-20 generations in America, various ethnic groups have been absorbed and intermingled. For example, one of the largest ethnic groups in the USA was the “Scotch Irish” where there were more than 200,000 Scotch-Irish in the USA when the Revolutionary War started. [vii] This mixed race of people mixed with French, Germans, Native Americans, African, Italian, English, Welsh, Scandinavian, and many others. This blending of people and bronzing of America began 300 years ago, and continues today with vast immigration from: Arabia, India, China, Russia, Mongolia, Japan, Philippines, Europe, Indonesia, Mayalsia, North East West and South Africa and so forth.
Because most people have forgotten their origins and homeland where their forefathers immigrated from to the USA, DNA science will possibly do more for ethnic harmony and cooperation than any other tool because Ancestry.com and 23andMe.com can tell us exactly where our DNA ancestors came from. Further, most folks who have a DNA test find that they are composed of many ethnicities or many races of people from around the wold.
In sum, we are more interrelated than we think, and there are dozens of historically oppressed minorities in the USA that have survived over 500 years of oppression before they even reached the shores of the USA. We need only to look at the history of Ireland, Sicily, Scotland, France, Russia, India, and many other nations to see that almost every nation’s people have suffered in servitude, slavery, serfdom or as vassals.
